Fanfest: How to survive. Advanced tips
January 31, 2015###Before Fanfest:
- When you arrived go to duty free in airport. Take bottle of something you want. It’s cheaper than buying alcohol in Reykjavik and nobody knows where alco shop is.
- Make a note with name and address of your hotel. When you will be drunk this will help to explain where you live (at least you can show note) and will save you from surprises in the morning.
- Buy some Icelandic yogurts. After hard night it’s amazing pre-breakfast.
- Buy sim card. Fuck hot spots(free wifi zone over the city) If you don’t want spend time staying on cold street trying to catch good connection.
- Find a place where you can eat in the evening. Most of places with will be closed ~10pm.
- If you are in alliance and you have cool logo – take a flag with you to Fanfest.
- If you smoke you can buy cigarettes near Nora bar.
###Communication:
- Call your parents/friends/bf/gf/wife/husband and tell them that everything is ok with you.
- Be friendly. Even you see the killer of your lovely super.
- If you woke up and you don’t know where you are, ask dude/dudess next to you. Don’t be confused.
- If you found dev somewhere, don’t run to him shouting “#^&*&(^ Nerf Ishtars”
- Make friendship with happy people who have bottles of cola/pepsi/sprite/tonic. Believe me you will thank me for this advice in the morning.
- How to remember people around you? Make a pic of badge. Better make pic with face too, not only boobs.
###Party time:
- Do not trust sober people. They remember everything next day.
- Do not mix drinks. Seriously. Stop drinking beer and finish with vodka. Start with vodka. Be cool
- Do not start striptease if you aren’t sure that some has a camera. Seriously.
- During pub crawl try to steal flag and run away. Do it fast. Don’t show this flag to anyone or you can be attacked by flag hunters.
- Never allow Hedliner make you cocktail. Remember NEVER! (Hedliner – dude in shorts.)
- If you see bored girl in bar and she isn’t talking about EVE – remember in 90% she isn’t alone here. Don’t be idiot. Anyway have condoms with you.
- If you want to make a tattoo think twice. You don’t want to explain to BL leadership why you have PL logo on shoulder
